For the first time, INOSIM at ACHEMA 2018 (June, 11-15, 2018, Frankfurt/Main, Germany) will introduce the novelties scheduled for the upcoming software version.

Simulation of Supply and Delivery Chains
The bottleneck analysis of chemical and pharmaceutical factories addresses not only the production itself but also supply and delivery chains. The new INOSIM software integrates support for packaged goods processes at the recipe level. This new feature was tailor-made to address the requirements posed by the chemical industry.

New Tools for Process Development
During process development, several process alternatives have to be assessed and compared swiftly with regard to key performance indicators such as throughput or resource consumption. The new INOSIM software will be the basis for new analysis and planning tools that provide new insights, e. g., on minimal and average batch and cycle times, and that support the design of more efficient production schedules.

Multi-Tool Abilities
Interfaces enable the integration of the new INOSIM software with multi-tool chains. Via a COM interface, e. g., Excel or Matlab data can be exchanged. A CAPE-OPEN interface connects external thermodynamical databases to the simulation. Simulation results can be retrieved and processed as customizable Visual Basic reports.

Combination of Strategic Planning With Simulation at the Unit Level
The new INOSIM software integrates unit simulators made by French manufacturer ProSim, thereby enabling a previously unknown level of modeling detail on the plantwide level and for single units.
