Predictive Plant Operations Support: The high complexity and automation level of modern plants makes their operation increasingly opaque for all stages of the operational staff hierarchy, from operators and technical services to production management. INOSIM can help here: Its accuracy and predictive power makes it an excellent tool to support the online operations of production plants. When initialized with the current plant state, INOSIM models take the role of “online oracles” that can be used to accurately predict the plant behavior over the next days, weeks, or even months. This offers a variety of possibilities:
    • It avoids production delay by enabling operators to always be at the right place at the right time to perform required actions.
    • It allows production managers to improve staff and resource planning and to identify potential scheduling conflicts before they become a problem.
    • Technical services can easily identify downtimes of equipment units for maintenance which reduces shutdown times and, thus, production losses.
    • “What-if” analyses can be used to prioritize upcoming activities by ranking the severity of adverse effects in the case of delays and thus maximizing overall production efficiency.
  2. Optimal production scheduling based on simulations: INOSIM lets you build a true “digital twin” of your production plant or site that is able to represent even the most intricate complexities. Why not use this level of detail to, for the first time ever, compute optimal production schedules that are directly applicable to your operations? We plan to develop a software system that is able to create detailed production schedules without any manual help that are better than your current schedules. This will help you to save time and get more out of your plants.

Boosting simulation with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: With the advances in computational power and methodologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) are now suitable to tackle also complex industrial challenges. We have teamed up with the Digispace Division of PricewaterhouseCoopers, which support companies in their digital transformation and have more than 70 AI experts in Germany alone, to harness modern AI technologies in new simulation-driven solutions for the producing industries. We plan to develop AI solutions that will support you in a variety of ways. For example, you immediately get provided with the best possible response to any faults or delays in your plant that will help you to minimize losses in product, time, and profit. AI will also help identifying and eliminating processes or controls in your plants that may lead to adverse reactions, from a degeneration of production all the way to unintended shut-downs.
  4. Dashboards and reporting tools for easy visualization: Even today, INOSIM already provides powerful facilities (like the Gantt chart) to communicate simulation results and insights to both experts and non-experts. To make it even more seamless to generate intuitive visualizations and reports from your simulations, we are now adding the INOSIM Visualizer. This new tool enables you to design dashboards and reports that will provide intuitive visual access to the key simulation insights without any manual effort. Share your results with your managers, technical colleagues or even plant operators!
